Great Basin National Park Celebrates 20 Years

Created in 1986, Great Basin National Park is the only national park completely within Nevada’s borders and features the diversity and beauty of the Great Basin Desert landscape. Key highlights are the 13,063- foot Wheeler Peak, ancient bristlecone pines (some dating back thousands of years) and Lehman Caves, an acclaimed marble cave system. The park is in northeastern Nevada, near the community of Baker and the city of Ely.

Two Properties Added to Carmel Boutique Inns Portfolio

Monte Verde Inn and Casa de Carmel, located in Carmel-by-the-Sea and only four blocks from Carmel Beach, have been acquired by Carmel Boutique Inns. Carmel-by-the-Sea is 1 square mile of unincorporated city set along Carmel Bay on the Monterey Peninsula. Crystal Petersson, general manager of the company’s iconic 1929 Cypress Inn co-owned with actress Doris Day, also serves as GM of the two new properties—co-owned by Kate Levett-Crayne and her husband Casey Crayne.

The Ranch 4.0 at the Four Seasons Westlake Village in Malibu has recently opened up as a meeting destination for private groups and corporate takeovers and offers guests an intensive boot camp and wellness program with picturesque morning hikes, rejuvenating exercise classes, daily massages and free time.

WHAT’S NEW AT CONESTOGA RANCH

After a successful inaugural season last year, Conestoga Ranch, a glamping resort overlooking Garden City’s Bear Lake, is introducing several new additions for 2016. The Importance of Positive Site Visits

Over the summer I was given the opportunity to join the TSTS Tech Summit in Cancun. It was the first time I had travelled for work - outside of internal company trips - and the first time I had ever travelled to Mexico. In anticipation of the next TSTS event in Dallas, I’ve been reflecting on the trip, the positive experience I had, and what made the conference so successful. I’ve narrowed it down to one major thing: the attention to detail at all of our site visits.
