Hotel Adeline, a new 4.5-acre boutique hotel, is now open in Scottsdale, Ariz. following a $13 million renovation. Located in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, Hotel Adeline is close to all the area has to offer in restaurants, nightlife, shopping, art galleries, museums and outdoor recreation.

With 213 guestrooms, including five 700-square-foot king suites, Hotel Adeline’s interior design is contemporary with a bohemian, welcoming atmosphere. Accents throughout the hotel include an eclectic mix of textures, comfortable furniture groupings of leather and wooden pieces atop geometric patterned rugs, sleek metallic fixtures and carefully-curated Arizona influenced artwork. Additional details include modern wood furniture with a retro flair, handy built-in live edge work desks, walk-in rainfall showers, 50-inch LG Smart TVs and complimentary Wi-Fi access throughout the hotel.

Unlike traditional hotels, Hotel Adeline offers more opportunities that encourage guests to spend more time in social spaces than in their rooms. Communal spaces such as the lobby, restaurant and lounge, lively pool and pool bar, outdoor courtyards with lawn games and public areas have been added specifically for this purpose.

Hotel Adeline’s stores and facilities include: Selfmade, a full-service restaurant serving seasonal American dishes with a Mediterranean influence; Good & Proper, the hotel’s café featuring fast-casual and grab-and-go items; Freestyle, a 3,000-square-foot zero edge pool with a stunning view of Camelback Mountain; 16 chic cabanas, a fire pit and courtyards with lawn games.

Hotel Adeline also offers a variety of indoor and outdoor event spaces for weddings, social events and corporate retreats. The 1,800-square-foot Hayden Ballroom accommodates up to 120 and features a convenient center room divider to section off the space for smaller groups. Basil Boardroom, the hotel’s 345-square-foot deluxe boardroom, accommodates up to 12. Both spaces are equipped with top-of-the-line technology features and full AV capabilities. Totaling 2,200 square-feet, the pool deck space is available for full buy out and accommodates up to 150 guests.

Hotel Adeline is located at 5101 N. Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale, Ariz. Nearby attractions include Scottsdale Fashion Square, Scottsdale Waterfront, Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, spring training stadiums and Camelback Mountain.

The Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority has selected SMG, a worldwide entertainment and convention venue management company, to operate the RSCVA-owned Reno-Sparks Convention Center (RSCC), state-owned Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center, and Reno Events Center and National Bowling Stadium, both owned by the City of Reno. The four-year agreement began in June and also includes culinary services through SMG’s in-house food and beverage division.

Twenty additional historic hotels have been nominated and accepted into the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Historic Hotels of America program, which includes properties ranging in age from 52 to 246 years old. Two that fall within Mountain Meetings’ coverage area include the Fairmont Olympic in Seattle, Washington and Alpenhof Lodge in Teton Village, Wyoming.

One trend that seems to be here to stay in the meetings and events industry is making sure venues, destinations and gatherings are respectful to the environment and the animals that also occupy our planet.
