• DNCC Partnering with PHLCVB and VFTCVB

The 2016 Democratic National Convention Committee partnered with the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board to accommodate more than 35,000 expected participants. This partnership will help ensure a positive delegate experience and make sure they have a number of options to meet their needs during the event.
 
“Part of the reason the Democratic National Convention selected Philadelphia as our host city is because it has a great infrastructure,” says Rev. Leah D. Daughtry, CEO for the DNCC. “The Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board are an instrumental part of that infrastructure. Together they provide hotel rooms, facilities and resources in a variety of locations that will help delegates and other participants navigate greater Philadelphia and maximize their convention experience. We are thankful for their partnership.” 


The convention is estimated to use more than 15,000 hotel rooms during the slated week in July 2016, and roughly 500 buses will be used to for transportation. To accommodate even more people, the DNCC expanded to include include properties in adjacent counties, allowing the DNCC the opportunity to work with both the PHLCVB and the VFTCB.

Molly Smith and Kristen Snavely have been named co-general managers of Triple Creek Ranch, an all-inclusive luxury ranch resort in Montana’s Bitterroot Valley. Smith is returning to Triple Creek Ranch after a brief hiatus. Previously serving as general manager for four years after working her way up from pastry chef, she has since perfected her skills at The Inn at Hastings Park in Massachusetts, another Relais & Châteaux property.
