Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is undergoing renovations to be completed by September. The Five Diamond AAA resort is renovating 458 standard guest rooms and 20 luxury suites as well as the Princess Pool, which is recognized as one of the Top Ten Pools in America by reader polls in USA Today and other national publications.

There renovated guest rooms and luxury suites will boast modernized bathrooms, new furniture and bedding, an Echo Dot with an "Ask the Princess" menu, and televisions equipped with more than 1,000 apps to stream Netflix, Hulu and more. The Princess Pool renovations include a single-level pool deck, which will offer sweeping views of the McDowell Mountains and TPC Scottsdale. Lounge seating also will be expanded to accommodate larger groups at the pool.

Director of Sales and Marketing Pam Gilbert says Fairmont Scottsdale Princess' 14 outdoor event venues, six pools, spa atrium, fitness rooms and top-ranked restaurants make the resort popular among meeting and event planners.

"Allow our unique in-house destination management department, Adventure and Experiences, to create events that are unforgettable," Gilbert says. "Nobody knows how to showcase your event in our resort and local venues better than our in-house Adventures & Experiences team!"

The resort's "Foodie Gurus" team can help planners create memorable, out-of-the-box menus for their meetings and events, Gilbert adds. Interactive food experience and stations are common among events, as are resort "taste makers," such as a tequila tasting. Restaurant buyouts are also available, especially for larger groups looking for a more private venue.

"Close your conference with a bang! Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is one of the few resorts in the area who have the ability to present firework displays on site. Let our team assist you with arrangements, and if you book summer, we’ll throw in fireworks free for groups of 100 rooms or more staying two nights," Gilbert says.

Outside of its plethora of amenities, Fairmont Scottsdale Princess' location makes it ideal for meetings and events. "Our 333 days of sunshine each year contribute to that happy feeling with the natural beauty of the Sonoran Desert and the incredible skyscapes at sunrise and sunset are inspiring and memorable," Gilbert says. "Scottsdale has a world class shopping and restaurant scene, with numerous James Beard nominated chefs in the area. The reliability of our weather is a another reason is planners love Scottsdale."

To celebrate its soon-to-be-revealed renovations, Fairmont Scottsdale Princess will offer special value dates for 2020 and 2021, including bonus fireworks, 3 percent rebate to master account or a food & beverage credit of $50 per room peak night to apply toward an opening or closing event.

The Texas Restaurant Association (TRA) led a coalition of business groups and their communities to drive support to the industry, for SB 8, the federal pandemic relief bill that included $180 million for local hospitality and tourism businesses.
