The 36-room Atticus Hotel in McMinnville, Oregon, opened for business this past spring. The hotel features an on-site restaurant and bar, private dining in the Atticus Hotel Drawing Room, a boardroom for meetings of up to 16 people, a business center and a fitness room. Additional amenities include Dutch-style bicycles, electric-car charging stations, rooms with fireplaces and original artwork from local artists.
Camp connections are big on interaction instead of bells and whistles.

Being surrounded by grapevines is blissful in itself, but add a measure of mountains and the atmosphere goes nearly off-the-charts spectacular. The soils and climate of the American West have proven bountiful, resulting in a large a number of vineyards with meeting and event spaces that are surrounded by peaks or located in the foothills of Oregon, California, Idaho and Colorado.

1. What are you looking forward to the most in your new role as General Manager for Kimpton Hotel Monaco Denver?
The guests, the team and the renovation of the Hotel Monaco; it is the perfect package.
Various hospitality brands release trend reports, and the ones that capture my attention are those that are specific to meeting and events and include several properties in the U.S. Mountain West. Sometimes these are observations from staff, but Destination Hotels is on its fifth year of conducting a “State of the Meetings Industry” survey that happened in October and garnered responses from more than 400 corporate, association, government and independent planners.
Located less than 10 minutes from the shops and restaurants in Bend and 20 minutes from skiing and activities at Mount Bachelor Ski Resort, Tetherow Resort has completed several improvements including 21 vacation rental homes, adventure cabins, a swimming pool and a year-round event pavilion. The 3,100-square-foot event pavilion with golf course and mountain views has retractable floor-to-ceiling glass doors and a variety of room sizes, including a separate boardroom and executive meeting space, holding groups of up to 350.
