Amara Resort and Spa Unveils Tree-Lodge Aesthetic and Major Renovation

Tucked along the banks of Oak Creek Canyon in Sedona, Amara Resort and Spa has wrapped up a multimillion-dollar renovation that has upgraded all 100 guestrooms, public spaces, Amara Spa, SaltRockSouthwest Kitchen and 5,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The aim was to create a tree lodge aesthetic that plays off the surrounding red rocks of Sedona and brings the outdoors in through the five elements of nature: earth, wood, metal, fire and water.

The Wilde Resort & Spa, situated at the base of the iconic Thunder Mountain in Sedona, Arizona, made its debut on Oct. 7, 2021. Formerly The Sedona Rouge, the property was fully transformed and features 105 contemporary guest rooms and suites and 5,640 square feet of indoor/outdoor meeting and event space, including the Dorsey Ballroom, Basecamp Boardroom, The Grove garden, and Rangeview Rooftop.

Kimpton Amara Resort and Spa in Sedona has a new lineup of health-focused team-building and breakout sessions for groups of 10-120 that spotlight relaxation, meditation and clean eating. Examples of these options include experiencing the world-famous Sedona spirituality with guided meditation breaks in meeting rooms along with chair massages and yoga classes. Groups also can get creative with meeting room setups so they feature lounge furniture, yoga balls and mats, and cocktail tables to provide more room for activities.

Sedona CVB Project Wins Big

This year, the Arizona Office of Tourism created a “Grand Pitch” contest; the Sedona Chamber of Commerce & Tourism’s Sedona Secret campaign was recognized for the best marketing presentation. The prize was $100,000 in in-kind marketing funds.

The Arizona Office of Tourism said the contest supports destination marketing efforts and increases the economic benefits of tourism activity across over the state.
