Groups and leisure travelers can now book stays and gatherings at Utah’s Pendry Park City, located in the heart of Canyons Village at Park City Mountain and set to open in winter 2021/2022. The ski-in/ski-out resort and residences is the first mountain resort for Pendry Hotels & Resorts and will provide easy access to the largest ski area in the nation with more than 7,300 acres of skiable terrain.

General Manager Announced

Richard Wales has been appointed general manager of Pendry Park City after most recently serving as GM of another property in the area, The St. Regis Deer Valley, Utah. Born and raised in Sydney, Australia and a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu with a degree in hospitality management specializing in luxury hotels, Wales has more than 20 years of global hospitality experience, including nearly a decade spent with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, where he worked at both domestic and international properties in Dubai, Boston, San Juan, Florida, and beyond.

A true hospitality veteran, he launched his career as a bellman and has since worked in almost every department from housekeeping, rooms, operations, front desk, guest services, concierge and beyond.

Pendry Hotels & Resorts

Pendry Hotels & Resorts, a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, is a new luxury hospitality brand from Montage International. Each property is injected with a unique perspective on contemporary style and an emphasis on the arts and local community in the city it calls home. The portfolio of hotels currently includes properties in San Diego, Baltimore, Hollywood, Chicago and Manhattan. In addition to Park City, Pendry properties will be opening in New York, Washington, D.C. and Ohio in 2022 and 2023. 

Set to debut on December 15, 2021, Montage Big Sky is centrally located within Big Sky’s 3,530-acre Spanish Peaks enclave and features 139 guest room suites with a mountain modern design and 39 residences. 

 

Located at the base of Arizona’s highest mountain, the 12,633-foot Humphrey’s Peak, Basecamp at Arizona Snowbowl has 26 newly renovated cabins and rooms that are the closest lodging to Snowbowl’s ski lifts. 

Everything is new in the cabins and rooms from the plank flooring, southwestern throw rugs, furniture, bedding, big-screen TVs, and accent art, including photography of the slopes at Snowbowl. 

 

The Texas Restaurant Association (TRA) led a coalition of business groups and their communities to drive support to the industry, for SB 8, the federal pandemic relief bill that included $180 million for local hospitality and tourism businesses.
